A hard-boiled group of killers and war criminals, pulled from the depths of the worst prisons imaginable, have been formed into a Suicide Squad-esque team of supercops in a grim, cyberpunk version of Hong Kong. Wanted: Dead wastes no time throwing the player into its strange, dystopian world. If you're looking for a better play, get the Day of Reckining games which followed this release, as they are a much better play.Image: 110 Industries Cool Robot Arms Galore This game is alright if you just want to set up your own match and maybe play with your friends, but it's really quite poor for a wrestling game. Also, I notice that ever since the N64 No Mercy game, the create-a-wrestler mode has become very weak - there are less moves, accessories, looks and outfits to choose from. Had this game offered this as an extra mode of play, rather than the only mode (save the standard exhibition match mode), then maybe something good would have come from this game. It's stupid, pointless, does not involve actual wrestling and all it does is culminate with you fa cing McMahon in a very simple match. Or you might be atop a construction site where the WWE is building something and proceed to throw the workers and the ocassional WWE superstar off the top of it. You'll have to go through a car garage and fight a bunch of random goons, the ocassional WWE superstar and avoid cars. Instead, you pick a wrestler, get kicked out of the WWE and what proceeds to follow is a bunch of pointless missions that have absolutely nothing to do with wrestling. So why is this game pretty shabby? Well because of the simple fact that there is no story mode or mode to capture the championship belts. This game has some decent graphics, a perfectly fine game play system and a good selection of wrestlers. A retooled audio presentation has crowds reacting to situation-specific events, and a new tutorial option will help players learn the different moves available to each wrestler. Finishing moves have been simplified to the point of pressing two buttons together, allowing players to focus more on timing and grappling rather than the intricate combos needed to perform a wrestler's most famous moves. Other enhancements include the ability to reposition wrestlers anywhere in the ring by dragging their bodies around by their arms or legs. More individual moves and traits have been incorporated for each of the more than 40 wrestlers in the game, and for the first time in the series, a First Blood match is available for players who like to bruise and batter their opponents beyond recognition. Injure a wrestler's arm or shoulder, for example, and he will clutch at it or favor it for the remainder of the match. Apparently Vince McMahon has banned the player's character from wrestling, so he must prove his worth by making a name for himself outside the ring on the road back to WrestleMania.Ī new graphic engine promises more realistic looking wrestlers with revamped character models and the addition of pain-sensitive animations. New to this game is a story mode that finds players trying to earn the respect of peers and fans by embarking on a series of 30 missions.
